Sunday (9/14): Parents meeting and moon cake tasting |
Dear parents in HCSCP,
With your support, our first school day went well. New families, welcome aboard; Old friends, welcome back to school.
The coming Sunday (9/14) is the Mid-Autumn Festival (August 15th in lunar calendar and a full moon day). It’s a day for all family members get-together in a harmonic mood and enjoy the moon cake. We will have an all parents meeting at 10:10am in our registration room 0126. In the meeting we will introduce the administration team to new families, and talk about the safety, school year plan, and some class issues. We will answer parent questions as well. Our school will provide our parents some moon cakes for tasting. Students will get their moon cakes in the second Chinese class in the classrooms. It will be a wonderful day for all members in our HCSCP big family to celebrate the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.
Friendly remind: this Sunday (9/14) is the last day to give $10 discount to early registration and payment. You must register and pay (at least the Chinese class tuition) no later than this Sunday (9/14). After that day, no more discount.

This school year we start to give $10 discount to early registration and payment. You must register and pay (at least the Chinese class tuition) no later than the second Sunday (9/14). After that day, no more discount.
Two new classes:
1. SAT II Chinese class (12 to 1pm): Weina CHENG will teach it. It’s very helpful or is necessary for students who will take SAT II Chinese test. Through 8 classes and tests, students will grasp the type and tricks of problem and get better score.
2. International Chess class (12 to 1pm): Zhiya HU will teach it. Zhiya started to learn Chess as a little boy. He got awards in Beijing Children Chess Contest. After came to US, he continues learning and playing in different level contests. He got many awards in state level and even higher level contest. He was Chess class teacher in HCS at Gaithersburgh campus. Now he studies in UMD. He will group students based on levels and teach them accordingly. Please bring your chess game for the class.
