How to register a class for your child?
First, make sure that you have done the
following three tasks
- Have a valid account that has been
approved;
- Have created/updated your family profile;
- Have created/updated your student profile.
Second, make sure that the registration period
is open.
- Priority registration period, say May 18-
June 7. During this period, only existing families and students can register
a new class or change an existing registration, depending on class
availability. Prior to this period, no one can register a class, but
families can review and modify their profiles.
- Public registration period, say June 8 -
August 31. During this period, existing and new families can register a new
class or change an existing registration, depending on class availability
- Late Registration period, say after August
31. During this period, existing families can register a new class or change
an existing registration, depending on class availability. New families can
register a new class or change an existing registration, depending on class
availability, and are subject to a late registration fee.
Third, go to the registration screen, select a
student and a class, click the "Register a Class" button. Depending on your
account status and availability of the class, you may receive one of the
following responses:
- You successfully register the class. The
registration is shown on the list with a pending status, and your tuition,
etc. is updated. You can continue to register more classes.
- You register the class, but your child is
placed on a waiting list due to class size limit. Your tuition, etc. is not
updated until the registration status is changed to "Pending". You can
continue to register more classes.
- You cannot register the class due to
schedule conflict. You can select a different class, or the same class
offered at a different time to avoid schedule conflict, and try to register
it.
- You cannot register the class because your
family status has not been approved. You will have to wait until your status
is changed. This process normally take a few hours to a few days, depending
when the administrator approves your account.
