泰城校区是希望中文学校继马大，洛城，北维，盖城，赫城，西城，波城之后，于2015年秋季在大华府地区开设的第八所分校。作为大华府地区规模最大的希望中文学校，学生人数达到五千人左右，尤其是在北维校区的在校学生人数趋于饱和的情况下，它的建立，将便利居住在北维州费郡东部的学生就近入学，并为保证教学质量，不断改进学生学习环境提供了进一步保障。这将更加有利于在校学生 学习以汉语拼音及简体字为标准的现代汉语，掌握中国语言文化知识。

The Tysons Campus is the eighth branch of Hope Chinese School in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, following the campuses at UMD, Rockville, Northern Virginia, Gaithersburg, Herndon, Washington, and Bowie. Established in the fall of 2015, the Tysons Campus was created as student enrollment at the Northern Virginia campus approached full capacity. With Hope Chinese School being the largest Chinese school in the D.C. area, serving about 5,000 students, this new campus provides convenience for students living in eastern Fairfax County, Virginia. It also further ensures teaching quality and continual improvements in the learning environment. This supports students in studying modern Chinese (Mandarin) based on Pinyin and simplified characters, while deepening their knowledge of Chinese language and culture.

为了尽早培养孩子们对中文的兴趣，年满四岁的幼儿就可报名参加中文学前兴趣班。泰城校区除了开设普通中文一至十二年级的中文课外，还将设立小学初级，中级及高级数学，中学英文加强，儿童初级，中级及高级绘画，及儿童小提琴，午蹈，武术，围棋，国际象棋等选修课。与希望中文学校其他校区一样，泰城校区在将使用暨南大学出版社为海外中文教学编写的《中文》教材，同时也将开设马立平中文教材班和双语中文教学班。学校还将计划根据需求开办SAT中文, AP中文个别辅导班。

To cultivate children's interest in Chinese at an early age, children who are four years old or older can enroll in the Chinese preschool interest class. In addition to offering regular Chinese classes for Grades 1 through 12, the Tysons campus will also provide elective courses including elementary, intermediate, and advanced math for elementary students, enhanced English for middle school students, as well as elementary, intermediate, and advanced painting, and children’s violin, dance, martial arts, Go Game, and chess. Like other campuses of the Hope Chinese School, the Tysons campus will use the Chinese textbook series published by Jinan University for overseas Chinese education. It will also offer classes using the Ma Liping Chinese curriculum and bilingual Chinese classes. Additionally, the school plans to offer individual tutoring classes for SAT Chinese and AP Chinese based on demand.

为了满足教学需求，泰城校区还需众多中文及选修课教师。新教师的招聘工作已经开始。应聘教师将通过简历审核，面试及试讲等程序，接受聘用。受聘的新教师将会在暑期接受培训，其中包括学习了解学校各项规章制度及学校教学运作过程，教学基本知识掌握，汉语拼音基础知识和教学法探讨等，为秋季学期任课做好充分准备。 请符合以下条件，并有志为传承中华文化知识奉献的人士尽快与我们联系。

To meet instructional needs, the Tysons Campus requires many Chinese and elective subject teachers. Recruitment has begun, with applicants going through resume review, interviews, and trial teaching sessions. Newly hired teachers will receive summer training covering school rules, teaching operations, essential pedagogy, Pinyin fundamentals, and instructional methods, to prepare for teaching in the fall semester.

Applicants are encouraged to apply if they meet the following requirements and are committed to passing on Chinese cultural knowledge:

1. Passionate about teaching, caring, responsible, and love children !
2. Graduated from a teacher’s university in China (preferred)
3. Prior teaching experience (preferred)
4. Legally residing or holding valid work authorization in the U.S.
5. Proficiency in both English and Chinese

In 2017, student reporters launched the Tysons Campus Teaching Website. The site reports on learning, student life, and activities at the Tysons Campus, explores Chinese teaching methods, and publishes student work. All registration must be completed online at http://www.hopechineseschool.org/hcstc/Logon.aspx. Due to the limited pool of volunteers, our onsite registration service will be very limited.
